Environmental Management System (EMS), Environmental Management Plans (EMP) Development and Implementation
A key aspect of construction and industrial environmental management is the development and implementation of tailored EMPs and procedures. The plans and procedures are prepared to mitigate environmental impacts from various construction activities being conducted in a diverse range of environments.
E3 can prepare project or site specific practical documents and assist with implementation. We developed the Gold Coast Desalination plant EMPs and have been responsible for implementation of these documents over the past three years. This plan was developed to cover environmental issues on sites ranging from marine, tunneling, plant construction, contaminated land remediation and pipeline works. All plans have been developed in accordance with the Australian Standard ISO 14001:2004.
Environmental Monitoring
To demonstrate environmental compliance E3 develop and implement tailored environmental monitoring programs. Monitoring programs have included air quality, noise, surface, groundwater and marine waters, and vibration. Once the data had been obtained from these programs E3 are then responsible for the collation and interpretation of the data.
Environmental Risk Assessment
Another key aspect of our site experience is the development of site environmental risk assessments. Prior to the commencement of each project we undertake a full environmental site risk assessment. This information is then used for the development and implementation of suitable mitigation measures which are incorporated into the sites EMP.
EMS Compliance Advice
E3 has also played a key role in a number of third party, internal and contractor audits during project environmental management. These audits have been undertaken to ensure compliance with Australian Standard 14001, environmental approval conditions and general site requirements.
