With the ever increasing environmental requirements being set for major infrastructure projects and industry, E3 has proven experience in developing and implementing sound environmental management practices on a number of significant projects across Australia. We also provide comprehensive site presence to ensure specific environmental requirements are met.
In this time of increasing environmental compliance, E3 has been able to provide smart, practical and effective solutions for both the construction and the industrial market, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget while achieving industry best practice environmental outcomes.
Our key areas or Expertise include:
E3 can provide experienced Site Engineers and Scientists that have practical knowledge working within the project environmental management field. We have worked on many significant projects ranging from major road and bridge construction, through to dam construction, contaminated land remediation and construction of a desalination plants.
Intrinsically linked to the infrastructure industry is the requirement to gain specialised environmental approvals prior to projects commencing. E3 has firsthand experience in developing and managing environmental approval applications required under various Commonwealth, state and local legislation.
Examples of environmental approvals related to the infrastructure industry include Environmental Relevant Activities (ERAs), Marine Plant disturbance, Waterway Barriers, Riverine Protection Permits, Natural Vegetation clearing, and Operational Works – In Tidal Waters.
A key aspect of construction and industrial environmental management is the development and implementation of tailored EMPs and procedures. The plans and procedures are prepared to mitigate environmental impacts from various construction activities being conducted in a diverse range of environments.
E3 can prepare project or site specific practical documents and assist with implementation. We developed the Gold Coast Desalination plant EMPs and have been responsible for implementation of these documents over the past three years. This plan was developed to cover environmental issues on sites ranging from marine, tunneling, plant construction, contaminated land remediation and pipeline works. All plans have been developed in accordance with the Australian Standard ISO 14001:2004.
To demonstrate environmental compliance E3 develop and implement tailored environmental monitoring programs. Monitoring programs have included air quality, noise, surface, groundwater and marine waters, and vibration. Once the data had been obtained from these programs E3 are then responsible for the collation and interpretation of the data.
Another key aspect of our site experience is the development of site environmental risk assessments. Prior to the commencement of each project we undertake a full environmental site risk assessment. This information is then used for the development and implementation of suitable mitigation measures which are incorporated into the sites EMP.
E3 has also played a key role in a number of third party, internal and contractor audits during project environmental management. These audits have been undertaken to ensure compliance with Australian Standard 14001, environmental approval conditions and general site requirements.
